Parkway happy to be back on the road

Wimborne Town vs Parkway | Match Preview

By Lewis Retallick

Once again, Parkway are getting on the coach and taking a trip, this time to face Wimborne at the Wyatt Homes Stadium this Saturday.

The Yellows are following on from a 2-0 loss to Hungerford Town which was a terrible game, and it resulted in losing the small winning streak and momentum the lads had.

It took only 23 minutes for the visitors to find the back of the net in that match, and it was from Rafael Ramos, who found himself some space and calmly slotted it away. Parkway could have been there all weekend and would still not have created a chance, it was just one for those frustrating days that are beginning to creep in more often at Bolitho.

All in all, Parkways form is still decent as in the last five they have three wins and two losses, so maybe the recent defeat is only a small hiccup. In front of goal, they are still strong as they have scored nine in those same games, but they have also conceded seven, so some work still to be done in that area. The lads have really upped their quality of play (apart from Saturday) in recent months to ensure they stay in the league, so I’m sure they’ll do some damage in this next one.

Wimborne is in pretty good form as they have three wins and two draws in their last five and haven’t lost since early February, so it won’t be easy especially as it’s on their home Patch. They have scored seven in those games too, and on the flip side, they have only conceded three, so it will be some task to find the back of their net.

Let’s hope The Yellows can get a result this weekend and keep themselves comfortably about the drop zone.
