Will The Yellows Continue Their Good Run of Form?
Parkway v Bracknell Town | Match PreviewBy Lewis Retallick
Plymouth Parkway vs Bracknell Town
Southern Premier League South
Bolitho Park
Saturday 23rd November
3pm Kick-off
A tough test on the road last week saw Parkway grab a point from Swindon Supermarine at the Webbswood Stadium, where it ended up finishing 2-2. The Yellows started well with a goal coming in the 6th minute of the game from Callum Hall, but the hosts soon brought it back through a penalty in the 18th minute. There was a long wait for the next goal, but as the clock struck minute 57, the hosts took the lead, however, Parkway fought until the final whistle and grabbed an equaliser in the 75th minute. They had to fight for the point, but it was well deserved.
Parkways’ next opponents – Bracknell Town – are in particularly good form as they are undefeated in their last five matches, and currently sit in seventh place when looking at the table. It is worth noting that their most recent match was a 2-0 win over Gloucester City, who are in 2nd place, so Bracknell will certainly be in high spirits. The Robins have in fact only lost one match so far this season and are currently unbeaten in six away games, so this will be a particularly tough matchup for Parkway.
Plymouth sit 19th in the table, where they have managed to collect 13 points so far and are slowly beginning to find some form as they are undefeated in their last three matches. The hosts are currently a great goalscoring unit, which is shown by the 11 goals they have scored in their last five games, so based off Parkways’ form, now is the best time to be playing a team of Bracknell’s quality.
When it comes to the head-to-head, Plymouth have triumphed over this side once in the last four, and The Robins have won against the Yellows twice, and one of the fixtures ended with both teams taking a point.
If Parkway play like they have been recently, expect this match to be a thriller.
