Can The Yellows Pull Off Another Upset?
Parkway v Havant & Waterlooville | Match PreviewBy Lewis Retallick
Parkway are up against another tough team on the weekend where they will be facing Havant & Waterlooville at Bolitho Park. This side sits in 4th place with 11 wins, six draws and only four losses. They are currently battling it out for those promotion qualification spots with teams like Totton and Gloucester, so they will certainly be raring to go.
The Yellows are following on from a 5-0 loss to Frome Town, which was a bit of weird one, but going from thrashing a top end team and then losing a basement battle the next match is just part of the game I suppose. Plymouth have two losses in their last five, and only one win, but hopefully they can pull something out the bag against this difficult opponent. The Yellows still have that game in hand on the teams above, so if they can find some consistency, then surely, they will be sat in the safe zone before we know it.
The last five games for The Hawks have all been against tough mid-table sides, and yet they are undefeated in those games, so they are in extremely good form – especially when you factor in that they have scored 17 goals against those teams. On top of this they put in a shift against Woking in the FA Trophy where it ended 3-3 after 90 minutes, but they came up short on penalties.
Parkway have a long run of fixtures coming up and not much rest in-between, and to kick it off with a match against a side like this is a big ask, but I’m sure the lads have it in them to get some more points on the board.
A reminder that after the game, the Parkway Christmas Raffle will be held in the Full Time Club House.
