Can The Yellows Continue Their Good Run of Form?
Sholing vs Parkway | Match PreviewBy Lewis Retallick
Parkway are continuing their battle in the league this weekend where they are coming up against Sholing FC at the Mortgage Decisions Stadium.
The Yellows are following on from a 0-0 draw against Gosport Borough two weeks ago where neither side could really find a solid way through their opposition’s defence. However, it does mean Plymouth are currently four games unbeaten and finally finding some consistency. They sit 20th in the league and are still fighting to get out of the relegation zone – which they are 4 points away from – and Parkway have had only one loss in their last five, which was against top of the table Merthyr Town, where it ended 4-2.
The opposition aren’t in wonderful form, as they have only got one win in their last five, so this could be the perfect opportunity for Parkway to grab all three points, or The Boatmen could make this the game they bounce back from their poor form, so it could end up being a tough one. They sit 13th in the table, but they are only five points clear of the drop zone, so it all is quite close at the bottom. One thing to note however, Sholing recently signed Michael Folivi, who absolutely ripped it up and scored all four goals in their 4-1 win over Bracknell Town, so maybe he is the danger man The Yellows need to look out for.
The last four meetings between these clubs ended with two wins for Parkway, one for Sholing, and a draw, so anything could happen in this game, and I do believe it has goals written all over it, with Plymouth scoring 11 in their last five, and Sholing scoring seven.
The boys in yellow really need to get their heads down now, show everyone what they’re made of, and keep this great form going.
