Parkway Seek Elusive First League Win at Chertsey Town

Chertsey Town v Parkway | Match Preview

Chertsey Town vs Plymouth Parkway
Southern Premier League South
Alwyns Lane
Saturday 19th October
3pm Kick-off

Plymouth Parkway travel to Alwyns Lane on the weekend where they will take on Chertsey Town in Matchday Eleven in the Southern Premier League South.

Following the 2-1 loss against Totton on Tuesday where DJ managed to net himself another goal, the Yellows still sit in 21st place and are continuing to look for their first league win. They do still have a game in hand, so if they were to win that, they would only be two points away from the safe zone, meaning Macca has really got to get the best out of the squad in the coming weeks if they want to push themselves up the table.

Chertsey have only got one win in their last five games, with that win coming in their most recent match against bottom of the table Marlow, where they managed to put five past them. The goals were spread across the team with five different goal scorers who were Luke Robertson, Jack Mazzone, Conor Lee, Lewis Flatman and Toby Little. The Curfews are currently 14th in the league and the teams around them are on similar points, so they will be desperate to get themselves higher up the table, provided results across the league go their way.

This looks like it’s going to be a great watch, with both teams hungry to improve their season, so it should be full of great attacking play, and defences will have to be at their best that day.
