Parkway look to Move Further Away from the Bottom at Bottom Meadow

Bracknell Town vs Parkway | Match Preview

By Lewis Retallick

Parkway are on the road again to face Bracknell Town this weekend in their first fixture of March. The Yellows are following on from a 2-0 victory over Gosport Borough, and hopefully that win can spur the lads on to get another.

It was a tough game that could have easily finished 0-0, but in the 74th minute Callum Hall got on the end of a parried shot and made it 1-0 for the hosts. Then only a few minutes later it was made 2-0 by Tylor Love-Holmes through a lovely header.

Plymouth are still trying to find some consistency as in their last five they have had two wins, a draw, and two losses, so after the win against Gosport Borough, hopefully they can string together consecutive victories. They have conceded six in their last five, which certainly could be better, but it isn’t awful as they managed to keep a clean sheet in their most recent game. They have also scored eight in those games, so the goalscoring record is on the rise too.

For Bracknell, their form isn’t very good as they have three defeats, and two wins in their last five, with their most recent match being a 5-1 loss to Merthyr. They’ve only scored five in their recent matches, so a goal a game, but they have struggled to defend their own net and that is proven by the ten goals they have conceded in the same number of games.

The head-to-head record however isn’t very good for The Yellows, as the previous five matches have resulted in two wins for Bracknell, two draws, and a win for Parkway. The most recent matchup came in January, and it finished 3-3, so maybe this next one will be full of goals too.

With a relegation battle still certainly going on, let’s be sure to get behind the lads and help them over the line.
