Following their massive win on Tuesday, Marlow were quick to fashion their first chance of the game.
Naheer Nawaf clipped a ball into the box for Stefan Brown who brought the ball down well and attempted to round the keeper, but the number nine was thwarted, not just by Matthew Wonnacott, but the offside flag as well.
Parkway kickstarted their offence in the 7th minute when a Tom Dean corner fell nicely to Ryan Brett on the six-yard box – the midfielder made contact but not enough to see it cross the line.
Chris McPhee’s men came close again within a matter of minutes. Love-Holmes burst down the right wing and played an excellent low throw ball into Ismail’s stride on the penalty spot, but a bobble in the turf just before contact meant the strikers effort sailed over the crossbar.
Parkway’s pressure paid off in the 23rd minute after a pinpoint cross on the right-hand side from Taylor Scarff found Dylan Jones on free at the far post.
The youngster headed the ball back across goal to Love-Holmes who nodded home his maiden Parkway goal to make it 0-1.
Following the goal, Parkway dominated the chances, the best of which was made by Alfie Cunningham who’s through ball nutmegged Marlow’s defender, playing Love-Holmes into box but the 19-year-old’s shot was straight at the keeper.
Jones and Dean then came close to extending Parkway’s lead in quick succession. Jones drove into the box, beating his man and getting his shot away, but his blocked effort rebounded to Dean who cut onto his left but saw his shot sent behind for a corner.
Set pieces have been an Achillies heel for Marlow this season and their weakness was exposed once more as Ismail bundled home from close range from the resulting corner just on the cusp of half-time.
The second half perhaps showed by both teams have struggled in the league this season.
Parkway stuck to their attacking football and remained on the front foot but couldn’t seem to find the ruthless streak needed to really kill the home side off.
Both Jones and second half substitute Matthew Wright both had chances to really and truly put Marlow to bed, but the final finish was lacking on both occasions.
Marlow on the other hand struggled to create any major threat but their best chance came in the 76th minute as Nawaf forced Wonnacott into a fingertip save to ensure the keeper earned his clean sheet.
The win sees Parkway complete the double over Marlow and moves them up to 16th in the table, and out of the relegation zone ahead of their meeting with 13th placed Hanwell Town at Bolitho on Tuesday evening.
